    Hi guys

Just a quick heads up. There are now three more RPG type games for the DS and that doesn't include FFIII which will be out mid-November.

    Contact
    Children of Mana (Brilliant)
    Magic Starsign

I played Children of Mana for a few hours yesterday... it's an excellent little game.

I'm 3 dungeons into Children of Mana, and I think its a gorgeous fun little game. Think 2D Diablo (hack/slash/cast) with cute, beautifully animated graphics. Not too deep, but its fun. It has great little sidequests in randomly generated dungeons to take the pain out of levelling up.

Started Magical Starsign too. Unlike CoM, this is turn based, and has nice battle mechanics. Not too hard yet, but its supposed to be a nice long game with a good story.

Excuse my ignorance, ut is Children of Mana out yet here?

Not out here yet. Only out in japan at the moment. Can you change the language or subtitles to english in the Japanese version? If not I'll have to wait for the US release but the japanese version is going pretty cheap on play-asia

Contact is meant to be dogs muck according to every review I have read of it, which is disappointing as I was looking forward to the quirky little thing. Don't know about the other two, I'd only be making assumptions about Children of Mana and its connection to Sword of Mana (if there is one that is), if there is, it should be a solid enough RPG. Personally I think FFIII will do me for the month!.

Er, contact rates 76.6% on gamerankings, hardly "dogs muck". Higher than children of mana and less than one percent behind behind your precious FFIII :P

    Penguin88 and GSStormcrow

The english version of Children of Mana is available at the moment if you know where to look.

It's only supposed to go on release at the end of this week or early next week.

The one I am playing is most definitely 100% english and 100% amazing :)

IF any of the three are muck then the vote would go to Magical Starsign.

At the moment the hardcore fans who enjoy RPGs are rating Contact and Children of Mana as "must haves".

I've not had a chance to play Contact yet... I'll be giving it a whirl later today.

Contact's reviews have been mostly saying that its great but not for everyone. This isn't surprising given that it was made by the guy who made Killer7.

I have Contact on order from the states, seeing as how it got delayed in Europe till next year. Not sure about Children of Mana, I was under the impression it was decidely average.

The mana games have gone downhill since Seiken Denetsu 3 (sp?). I'll wait for the reviews for that one or even give it a go since even squaresofts turds get highly rated some times. Contact seems interesting enough to be worth a purchase.

:) Maybe I'm just having RPG withdrawal and will enjoy anything halfway decent that comes along.

The world has never been the same since I finished Links Awakening in 1992 on the original Gameboy :)

    At last, (semi)decent RPG's.

I've not got them because I'm supposed to finish my thesis first. Then I'm going to spend a week wallowing in games.
