If not sure if this is possible but I was wondering can you change the keyboard on your laptop? My sister gave my father her old laptop(only about 2 yrs old) hes not very good with computers and only wants it use it for some basic things. The problem is the laptop came from Belgium and the keyboard isnt "QWERTY" its totally different and he is having great difficulty using it. Its taken us years to get him to use one and this is putting him off as he is used to using a typewriter.

Please dont suggest going into PC world as i did this and the bright spark in there said put stickers on the keys!!!!!!!!!!! This person was serious!!!

    Thanks for you help! :)

You should be able to get one from the laptop vendor but they'll probably want you to send it to them to install it.

It isn't too difficult to put them in. You'll proabably have to open the laptop though.

On some you can clip out the panel just above the keyboard and below the hinges and you have access to the screws for the keyboard then.

Thanks for you suggestions. Have decided to go with the easiest and cheapest option as the laptop wont be moved I am just going to get a keyboard with a USB connection and get him to use that.

Your help was much apprecdiated :)
