A friend built a smallish shed with a single layer cladding for the roof and is suffering bad condensation now, dripping from the ceiling type bad. He thinks he should remove the roof and put some sort of insulation under the cladding, I think two vents would do as good. Any opinions.

I'd try the vents first and see if it helps - its the easier of the two solutions.

    Hi,

Sheds usually have a through flow of air because they are not being built as living space so vents are not likely to work.

What may help if the frame is timber to fix a sheet of polythene under the roof joists as that will prevent the heat meeting the cold underside of the sheeting.

A better option is to fix "Z" bars through the existing sheets, fit insulation on the roof and fix another layer of sheeting to the "Z" bars.
