Great! I'm a big fan of his.

I believe he's got a counter weapons DVD coming out pretty soon. Can't wait to get my mitts on it.

I d say that Bob Spour will be "fooking aggressive!"

Please post review baggio on that one!

So is Lee since this is his 3rd time over...is it... progressing on what he is teaching as per "Fight Back" DVD...or is it the basics.

Basics are what count as we all know...or should know!

I just back training myself after a 4 weeks illness lay off, so taking it handy myself for the first few weeks. also did a yoga class last night....brilliant for getting the tension out.

    Hahahahah! That sounds about right....:D

I don't want a fractured skull. I noticed one of the other guys said on the forum "I'll go as long as I'm not used as a punch bag".:)

Hope you are feeling a bit better btw.

I think this is Lee's second time over. Man he did an exercise last time round about your peripheral vision going and your brain finding it hard to function when the owl adrenilin dump kicks in. He picked I think Steve from Cork and told him work the fence on him and use verbal descalation techniques - while Lee 'flipped the switch'. Jesus can he be F***** aggressive! Poor steve's thoughts went completely and couldn't stay on track... A class performance

LOL! I got his recent DVD with outtakes of seminars and trainings over the years. You should have seen him do the bullet man...3 or 4 lads had to drag him off the bullet man! LOL!!!!

You do redman training? I was going to get one of them suits last year when I was teaching in dublin. Expensive!!!!!

You need to face up to that sort of verbal aggression training, its just as important as sparring.

Was reading in "Watch My Back" by Geoff T that some 80s UK pro boxing champ "bottled it with fear" when confronted by a thug outside a disco, and got batter my a smaller guy with no training. The pro boxer was no used to being alone (no coach, no buddies in the corner) and had not the verbal aggression training.

Yeh thats why so many tradtional MA approach to self defence is seriously lacking, their approach to SD isn't complete.
I bought the suit from Defendu Ireland at a good price. After the seminar I'll be doing the apprentice instructorship with Lee - the same one Aidan is doing. Lee recommended the suit at the price i was given it. I haven't used it yet fully, i've just done some work with the kids with it. I'd like to get a run down from Lee first before I put it to full use with the older guys. We'll be doing some drills with it after the seminar, myself and Aidan and Lee.

    to quote a great man...
Before I studied the art, a punch to me was just like a punch, a kick just like a kick. After I learned the art, a punch was no longer a punch, a kick no longer a kick. Now that I've understood the art, a punch is just like a punch, a kick just like a kick.
