Sky Sports 1 8pm Kick off.

    Streams in Stream thread.

Should be a cracker , Real have been hit and miss but should rise to this, Barca playing well in La Liga so should expect to win.

Form tends to go out the window with this game. Without Eto'o I think Barca may struggle a bit tonight. I'd prefer Saviola to start up front but it's not going to happen.

Hopefully it's a good win and hopefully Barca will go 8 points ahead of Real Madrid.

Madrid are still the favourites and I expect them to win.

Barca really miss Eto'o. Gudjohnson missed a great chance, Barcelona have been pretty sub-par, just like they were against Chelsea. Real playing nice, flowing football all game. Van Nistelrooy playing very well, took his goal well and was unlucky with his chip.

Barca looking to get Tubby Ronaldo on loan for rest of season

Assume they will get in someone at xmas they really missed having a striker, Real played very well but they "took" out Messi or tried to.

Saviola should have started. Barca were bad bar Messi, Real Madrid were good. Deserved the win, and I'm just glad they hit the bar twice, could have been far more embarassing than 2-0.

    Real played some great stuff.

E'to is a huge loss to Barca, he would have stuck away 2 or 3 of the chances they created. I don't think Gudjonsen is a good replacement for Larsen, He is not an out and out goal scorer, never has been.

Ronaldinho is not on form at all at the minute, hasn't been since before the world cup. He doesn't seem to be enjoying himself out there. I think that is the first time I haven't seen a smile on his face when he plays.

What a beautiful game! Really enjoyed watching that after a rather dull Premierrship weekend with the usual exception of Arsenal. Madrid played well and I'm very pleased with the result. Had my 1-0 Manu/Madrid win double down to a tee apart from Rio Ferdinand :(

I've said all along Madrid will win La Liga this year. Capello never fails me. The win tonight reminds me of the 2-0 win exactly 10 years ago. Capello had just taken charge at the Bernabéu with the club in disarray having finished 6th the previous season. Barcelona with Ronaldo in their team were looking unstoppable but Capello still managed to win the the title while laying the foundations for 3 CLs in 5 years.

Yeah, it was a good game alright, great ball by Robinho for Van Nist's goal.

As stated a few times already - Barca without Etoo are a different animal. Messi was top class, about the only real threat to Real. Gudjonson was pathetic.

Real for their part played a very Italian game. I thought Barca were the better team up to the 2nd goal, but then Real went from strength to strength and were quite unlucky not to extend their lead. Best Ive ever seen Robinho play. Raul played like he used to years ago. RVN laways looked dangerous.

Good game, shame about the result.

Excellent report well worth a read from Phil Ball's weekly Spanish football column on Soccernet, insightful and informative as ever.
