Is it possible to put a video onto website or blog that is not done through youtube or a similar site. Like an unbranded site or is there a fuction on windows that lets you do it.

http://video.google.com does not put any logos on your video. it may have a small logo on the control part of the video player beside the buttons but not on the video itself.

If you want to use a Flash Player, then Google Video is probably your best bet for brand-less-ness. Although there is still a small logo.

Alternatively, you can embed a quicktime or an avi file into a webpage directly. Link

I would have thought that embedding something like wmp or quicktime video in a page would mean that the video would automatically play once the page loads, where as google video waits for you to hit the play button. If you have more than one embedded video on the same page, like a blog for example this may cause slowness in page load.

WMP and Quicktime can be both told not to autoplay. I think the parameter is actually called autoplay (as in <object blah blah autoplay="off" ... > )
