From Dublin Airport to Tullow Co. Carlow

    Hi folks,
    Next week I'll be arriving to Dublin (airport), and I'll be carrying a lot of luggage since I'm moving on permanent basis. I need to know what kind of transport I can use from the airport to Tullow Co. Carlow?. I was thinking of some options but still I need some info from you Irish locals.

    Option 1.

    Is there a coach (Bus Eireann)from Dublin airport to Tullow Co. Carlow?.

    Option2.
    Can I hire a car from the airport and the drop off will be at Tullow Co. Carlow?.

    Your help is much appreciated since this is a new place for me.

    You will more than likely have to get a bus from the terminal building to the central bus station (Busaras) and from there to Tullow. Check out www.buseireann.ie for timetable etc.
    Don't know about a drop off point for a hirecar anywhere around Carlow.

    You could get the RAPID EXPRESS (JJ Kavanagh) coach from the airport to Carlow Town (then taxi to Tullow).

    Rapid Express depart from the rear of the Short Term mulit-storey car park (across the road from arrivals and through the central mall).

    Or (as CLADA says), get the Dublin Bus No. 747 (from Stop No. 1) to Busaras (Central Bus Station) in Dublin City and get a Bus Eireann bus to Tullow.


    I doubt if you would be permitted to hire a car and leave it in Tullow (but I'm open to correction).
