Sylvia is hot fav but surely its just a matter of a takedown and sub victory for Monson?
Any opinions on this fight ?

Your right. But I think Sylvias takedown defence is better than people give him credit for. If it goes to the ground, Monson by sub otherwise a likely Sylvia KO.

I can't stand Sylvia and the sooner he loses the heavyweight belt the better. I think Brandon Vera might be the man for the job. Mir is finished

The major problem for Monson is that though he may be more skilled than Sylvia, he's a foot shorter. I don't think he'll be able to get inside for a succesful takedown and can see him getting picked apart by Sylvia's jab.

I'll go with Monson. I know you make your own luck, but Sylvia can only have so much. It's a mark of how poor the heavy weight UFC scene is that Timbo is so high up.

This fight is going to look weird given the height different. I'd like to see Monson take it, if can get the take down so should do it. The UFC are going to have fun trying to market him if he wins, although I suppose old Tim isnt exactly the most marketable either.

Being 5'9 myself, (explains the user ID) I'm very much behind Monson.
He needs to take Sylvia to the ground early for any chance of a win, otherwise, as someone else stated, Sylva will take him apart with his jab and thai kicks.
