So I have got my hands on a spare PC from a particular workplace but the problem is I'm not an administrator or whatever and can't really do anything. Is there anyway I can just delete all the user info without deleting the OS?

You can get programs that will reset the admin password and then from there you can chane the settings within th OS.

The one I use is WinKey.

Are these programs free? Are they so easy a dead goat could use them? Cause otherwise I may have difficulty.

As an administrator you could delete user profiles (right click my computer properties)

but lots of data will still be floating around the system , wiping the hard drive (not just a format) with dban would stop most casual attempts at recovery. but then again hard drive head technology keeps improving so you need more passes to guarantee that the whole width of each track is erased.
