Faulty latch

Hey,

My laptop has a small but very annoying glitch. The left-hand side latch has come slightly undone and makes a click/crack noise whenever I open and close it. The screen is also slightly tilted because of it.

I'm not very good with fixing this sort of thing. My dad is, but I'm a bit scared of letting him at this in case he messes up. Obviously it's impossible for anyone to give exact instructions without examining the laptop in real life, but has anyone had a similar problem? Is there any shop that I could bring it to for a fix? Any idea of a price range to fix it? I can't imagine it'd be much more than €20?

It looks as though it has just come off a bit, a little bit like a lid coming off a marker, but obviously slightly more complicated. I've attached a couple of pics.

Any advice much appreciated.

When he said better pics, i think he meant use somting other then a 10yo webcam. I cant see feck all wrong with that tbh.

But a possible cause would be heat. My viao has a problem where when its locked the top left of the screen is slightly higher.

Nothing much you can do, i took mine apart and could do bugger all.

Id say just put up with it, as it dosent effect the fucntionality of the laptop.
