I've been meaning to ask this for a long time but never got around to it...

I find my remote control for the Lidl box very lacking in sensitivity. I really have to point it directly at the receiver to get it to respond. Is it just me or have others found the same thing?
(I can point my TV remote at the opposite wall and it still responds!)

new batteries? Or buy a high o/p IR LED and swap. Making my own PC based / controller IR gadget to control everything I found HUGE variation in sensitivity from different LEDs. Obviously different power out. point it a video camera to see how bright it is in comparison to Tv romote (at LEAST 20ft away).
