    Hey all,

Just bought a 360 and noticed that the contract agreement that came with the console only covers applications made in the UK. Is there an irish version of this?

Also, whats the story with gamer points? are they linked to gamerscore? I'd have thought you'd have gotten some when you buy the console.

You buy gamer points seperatley and theres no way to earn them.

Don't know where to get the contract agreement, try www.xbox.ie Doubt it will be any different anyway.

Gamerpoints= purchased, for micro transactions (buying extras for games, or buying arcade games)
Gamerscore= points you build up by completing certain things in games, no purpose other than "bragging rights"

I was recently wondering the same thing.

I just got a replacement console back from Microsoft and as a result I was a bit concerned about my warranty as I originally purchased my 360 about 10 months ago. So I rang microsoft and they told me that I didn't need to purchase an extended warranty as all customers in the republic of Ireland have a 2 year warranty and UK customers only get one which is why the warranty leaflet says 'UK only' so they can purhase an extra year.

To be honest I didn't believe her so I rang back today and was told the same thing.

    I hope this helps.

I'd very suprised if that was true, anyone else ever hear that before?

Anyone want to ring Microsoft and confirm?

I am only going on what 2 different operators told me although I agree with Ciaran500, someone else should give MICROSOFT a ring to confirm how long is left on their servive contracts as I am still slightly sceptical.
