Looking at it from my opponents view:

If i seen a flop like this and someone went all in with me theres no way id call an all-in unless i had a pair of 9's or a 5. Im trying to get as much out of the pot as i can, would u still recommend an all-in??

    all in
This is the intention, but to open push is not a good play.

It would depend on what you've been playing like, In general I'll usually lead into a paired board from the BB if I have it or not for about 1/2 pot and hence why I'd do the same thing here.

This would depend on what the players at the table were like. if there's a particularly aggressive opponent (post flop) I might check call to him then lead weakly (ish) on the turn, but alot of this decision would depend on how the flow of the game was going.

Any info on any of the Villains??

there should be a section in the charter about banning people who give completely useless advice

On the flop you should lead for a 2/3 pot bet; see what happens. You could also check raise which I would do sometimes but leading is the better play. With trips and quite a high kicker (most people with 5's will have 45,56,57 etc) i would be more than happy to get all in here. A check raise looks much more like a 5 and gives your opponents a chance to get out cheaply.

    All-in is terrible.

Lead for around 2/3 of the pot.

    Heres the outcome:

    crazysaw checks
    LetsKickAce checks
    ReSoNaTeR checks
    1DaMatrix checks
    markoes1968 checks
    max6 checks
    Dealing Turn 9d 5s 5h Ts
    crazysaw checks
    LetsKickAce checks
    ReSoNaTeR checks
    1DaMatrix bets $1.50
    markoes1968 folds
    max6 folds
    crazysaw folds
    LetsKickAce calls $1.50
    ReSoNaTeR folds
    Dealing River 9d 5s 5h Ts Jc
    LetsKickAce bets $4
    1DaMatrix folds
    Winner is LetsKickAce $9.70

I was hoping that someone might have the 9 and i could just call the raise on the flop, then check raise on the turn before the flop gets too dangerous. As it turned out nobody had anything and i dont think leading out would have won me any more money but maybe im wrong.

Also when i seen the 9 & 10 after the turn should i be looking to finish the hand here and then in case there on the straight draw. I wanted to let him see another card to maybe let him improve to 2 pairs so i could extract a bit more from him, but after the J appeared on the board and i bet $4 i would have been ready to lay down the hand. Whats the best way to play a board like this thats starting to become dangerous and whats the best way to bet on the river when i see a flop like this. Just checking might signal i missed my hand and make him bet hard at me to take down the pot and i wouldnt know if it was a steal or he hit the straight or had pocket 9's. This is why i put in a $4 raise, did i at least play that correctly and could i have played this hand better to extract more money?

I think you focused too much on extracting more money from this hand, and as a result played it pretty poorly and were lucky not to get beat in the end.

I can see now how a decent bet on the flop is probably the way to go as posted above, as it might read like you have a 9 and someone with decent kicker with a 9 might call, or if there's a calling station at the table you've got a payer. Before reading this I would've checked hoping for a bet, and then raised, which I now appreciate clearly shows I have a 5.

I don't think the first check is all that bad, but as soon as the turn came I'd come out with a strong bet cos you were open to both a flush and straight draw and were against multiple hands so I'd want the cash right then and there regardless of how much it was.

The bet on the river was right based on what had gone before it as a check would likely have induced a bluff.

So my view is, and remember I'm only a novice too, is the first check was not ideal but understandable, but if you keep on repeating that approach with the second check, you'll often lose out on a (fair enough, small enough) pot that you should have taken down as you're encouraging people to outdraw you.
