    Hi everyone,
Going to Brussels for a long weekend 8-11 Dec and hopefully fitting in a day trip to Bruges on the Sat/Sun. Accommodation sorted as staying with a friend. Just looking for tips for nice bars and restaurants (esp ethnic food!) and any other helpful tips anyone may have. It should be easy enough to get around on the metro and most ppl speak english? I have a bit of french but it's very rusty!

    Ta in advance!

There is a nice restaurant near the old cobble streets of the Grand Place called Chez Leon and its very good value. Have the Crepe Flambee for dessert !!! http://www.chezleon.be/index.asp?intro

There is a shopping mall not far called City 2 its ok not fantastic but not bad either.
