I've heard people say it's good but I got an EZ-Lite IV so I can't really help you too much.

The Ez-Lite IV is okay but the supported roms list hasn't been updated in a while (September) and I'm a little pissed off at that. Also Homebrew support isn't great for it.

well on gba temp it says that homebrew works.

[QUOTEGBAtemp.com]The ubiquitous term for “everything that’s not piracy”, or “I’m really buying my flash kit to run everything other than commercial games”. I tease, I tease. Most homebrew works just fine with the G6/L. There’s a version of Moonshell available for playing MP3s and watching videos, and major projects such as ScummVM and most emulators work successfully. Any projects that cause problems are likely to be ones that don’t yet recognize or support the G6/L file system. All homebrew games that I tried worked without a problem, as I expected. So if you really are out to play something other than the latest commercial release, the G6/L certainly won’t dampen the excitement.[/QUOTE]

yeah i've got a g6 lite and it kicks ass. 512 mb is plenty. the homebrew support is fairly good. im using scumm to play LOOM at the moment. but really, the ds lacks good homebrew compared to the psp anyway so it it doesn't matter. but the rom support feckin rules!. i would advise you to get one...

I've heard nothing but good things about the G6, I'll definitely be replacing my M3 with one anyway...

Hey tman, you might be able to help me, I have a supercard sd and super key, have moonshell installed.

Cant see to get it to play any of my movie files.
What type of format must I convert my .avi files to, and what directory should put them in to allow me to launch them??

Can't say i've had any experience with the supercard or moonshell, so your guess is as good as mine...
with the M3 it's just case of using the provided software to convert your media into the necessary format, then just copying it to any location on your card...

i think this has all the info you need man. theres a link to a prog called Moonshell 1.0 DPG Tools which converts your video files to play with moonshell.

They have to be in DPG format. You can get a fairly decent converter but to be honest I found movie playback to be sub par. It jumped frames either because of the conversion or the DS player. MP3's play fine and thats all I really want it for.

Video is too big for on the go unless you have a massive card.

One other thing, DSOrganize is a much better MP3 player IMO. Better options and if you close the shell it'll turn off the light and speakers and only play from headphone port to save battery life.

Moonshell allows for higher volume though.

moonshell does that too.... but yeah, i just use it for mp3s, don't see the point in watching crap quality videos on a small screen.

    Mmm.. they should

Don't know what else to say. I just put them in a directory I called media and when I go there I can select them to play. They show up no problem.
