    Hi,

What kind of questions would you expect to get asked if you were going for a level 1 support job with a web hosting company ??

i would guess you would probably be asked the usual teamwork questions with some technical focus on apache, linux, WHM, Cpanel, windows server, database administration

    just at a guess

name one of your strengths/weaknesses is always a banker for interviews these days.

make sure you can turn around your weakness so that if reflects postively on you, for example say you're working on improving it by doing x,y and z.

have you worked in a customer service enviornment before?
    teamwork?
    followed procedures?
    worked on your own initative?

if you ask you why do you feel you should get the job over the guy outside then don't answer it. Just say that you can talk about your own qualites and expierence and not someone elses and you wouldn't be comfortable answering that question.

they might ask you what do you think is more important, quality or the product? Be cute and prepare an answer for that which answers why both are important but slightly slide to one in your summing up.

ask them a question in the end.
besides from that you'll probably get hit with a few techy questions.

I'm pretty patient...I dont fly off the handle easily!

Is there any major (or minor) technical Q's that you would ask? IT is sooo broad!!!

it really depends on the host - the products/services on offer, the hours and type of support given, the focus (consumer, business or corporate) and the structure of the host - do they have infrastructure, a data centre, their own networks, etc, etc. All will have a big bearing on the role.

    Best of luck!
