Tootenham sure seem to have the upper hand in their game now, 2-0 up, Ghaly and Berbatov scoring in either half

Duff at left back? I hope you're joking.

Nope. He's also the most experienced player in our squad tonight at playing there :(

Watching Newcastle has become a really fücking depressing ordeal. This match has 0-0 written all over it. I don't recall the team stringing more than two passes together, or even trying to retain possession without going over the top. Absolute sh1te, again. Fortunately for Newcastle Fenerbache look even more useless. I dunno, maybe it's just that nobody really gives a fück about this competition.

Really looks like Roeder has to go. A good manager would get them into Europe.

Into Europe without the Totem-Pole Cup. A top 6 finish.

I'd rather qualify as holders tbh, which is also probably more likely at the moment.

Slighty better so far in the 2nd half. Martins has just had a super header brilliantly saved.

    Solano on for Zoggy now.

Ah ffs Roeder has just taken off Martins, our best and most threatening player tonight

I really believe that Martins would be devestating in a good team firing on all cylinders, but then Newcastle have a knack for ruining good players and players with potential.

Edit: Sibierski just scores a sh1t scrappy goal, get in!

    1-0 Sibierski! :D

5 minutes to go now, so what are the odds on seeing the customary Newcastle capitulation after taking the lead?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,312 ✭✭✭Limerick Dude

1-0 full time, not a performance to remember but we got off to a good start in the uefa cup and the team needed a win in general, now lets beat the smoggies on sunday :D

Well thank fück that's over and done with. I can hardly wait for Boro on Sunday...

Had to make do with the highlights on Eurosport, but Spurs looked comfortable in intimidating surroundings tonight, TBH 2-0 flattered Besiktas. Keane missed a few chances (again)...

Zokora left on the bench, The Hudd played in the centre, had a great game by all accounts. Zok nice and fit for the Bingo Club.

I watched the first half of the Spurs match and the Besiktas fans kept me watching, it was brutal. :) Besiktas were poor, Spurs had a comfortable game.

I watched the Rangers game and they were a lot better than they've been so far this season. Livorno didn't look great though.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/b/blackburn_rovers/6068090.stm
The Football Association has formally asked Uefa to investigate racism allegations made by Blackburn striker Benni McCarthy.

McCarthy, 28, claims to have been abused by Wisla Krakow defender Nikola Mijailovic in Thurday's Uefa Cup tie.

The FA confirmed: "We have written to Uefa, asking them to investigate allegations of racism."

Wisla claim they have already investigated the incident and found nothing to substantiate the claims.

Blackburn manager Mark Hughes asked Uefa to take action and the FA have added their support.

    interesting :)
