Peeling wallpaper

Over the summer, a leak from the apartment above me caused some plaster to fall down from the ceiling in my bathroom. When the builders were repairing it, they had to peel off some of the wallpaper on the adjacent wall. Now, half the wallpaper is missing from one of the walls and I'm not sure what to do about it. Would the entire room have to be stripped and redone, or could just the one wall be redone? Does it have to be stripped, or could I just slap some more wallpaper over it?

I've never used wallpaper before, so would I be better off getting a professional in? Is that likely to be expensive?

Or would I be best off just sticking a poster up over it?! (It's a student flat, so the final appearance isn't too important!)
