Might be a nice thread for people to list the rackets they use or recommend. Currently playing with:

    Prince Shark

I'm looking at the Wilson nCode n5 for a playtest. Anyone used any?

CTU - did you prefer playing with the Prince or the Wilson? I play tested an n5 and found it heavy. The n4 is ment to be lighter, and obviously as you say so is the n6.

Ive really only started playing with the N6 and like everything it takes a long time to get used to...so at this stage I would say i preferred playing with the prince, it had that little bit more weight and umph to it...:o

The N6 is extremly light slightly over 9 oz.. Very difficult to get used to...strings are very tight and the ball bounces 'oddly' (for want of a better word) from the N6 or perhaps differently from the prince would be a better way to put it.....

The only reason I got the N6 really is because It was 70 euro...couldnt pass that by..

Grip on the N6 is worth mentioning, it's an 'extra absorbent' material, quite good. Cant say id recommend one over the other I wouldnt have the expertise to do so, but I like both but like I keep saying it takes quite a while to go from the prince to the N6.

Good Analogy would be swinging a brick constantly in one arm and then suddenly swapping the brick for a feather...:) That feeling of something's missing kind stays with you...

I spose the idea with the lighter rackets is that as you get better it's your swing that should generate the power rather than the racket itself. Ya I'm finding it hard to change from the Shark - TIS A SIGN

Sorry to bring up this thread but what would be the best kind of racket for a complete beginner?

Mine is Slazenger. I've always played with Slazenger and find it hard to change to something else although I did buy a Wilson but I never use it.

I think for a beginner you should just buy a cheap racket (50 or less) and find out how you play then you can decide whether to get a powerful racket or one that gives more control or whatever.

Mine is a Prince O3 Hybrid Hornet, as seen here . A quality racket and no mistake about it.
