ive just bought a shiny new 80gb ipod video i have searched google and many forums for a free program that is easy to use to put dvds onto my ipod but they all are complicated to use or cost money can anyone recommend anything suitable please??

Only ever used 3GP Converter for my sister's iPod Video - this will convert AVI, DivX, XviD to MP4 or 3GP.

Guide:

Convert AVi's to iPod video using 3GP Converter
DVD to iPod using DVD Decrypter, 3GP Converter

I gave some brief instructions on recoding any movie file to iPod format using VLC in this forum:

I have since heard that VideoRA (www.videora.com) is easier to use, and has a one-click "convert to iPod" button.

Decrypting DVDs onto your PC is a bit naughty, so I would probably get banned for telling you how to do that. Google it and you will find plenty of info if you really want to be a bad boy.

thanks for the suggestions guys

i've tried 3pg and videora, both of them are easy enough to use

luckily i already know how to decrypt gandhi so hopefully it should be handy enough to convert everything
