OK Tuesday's and Thursday's are no good for a good few people so I think we'll leave them out of this and I presume we're not sad enough to want this on a Friday or Saturday night. We should either be out or taking money off drunk fish if we're playing on-line.

So a few Choices that remain:

    Sun/ Mon
    Wed/ Sun

Not a lowly mod. Luke probably can. All I mean is if you let folks check more than 1 you might get a better picture. I went for Sunday and Wednesday but I don't mind any of them tbh.

By the way if you need any help with website/tables etc. let me know. I still have the stuff I used for the last one lying around and I can stick a site up on talking-poker easy enough.

Out of interest why are Tuesdays and Thursdays bad for people?

Mondays really aren't good for me.

I'm not playing in the BCOOP so I don't care.
Is there going to be a second vote, like the French presidental electoral system?

Or if the result of the poll is something like 20:19:19, are we just going to go with the one that gets 20? The plurality system doesn't work!

    I'll go with a 38% Quorum.

EDIT: Assuming the Jaguar type option stays at 0 - I'll adjust accordingly if needs be.

RE-EDIT: Although I do like a good poll so if it's not met I'll run another one where you can pick multiple options and then which ever nights win (even by 1) is the winner.
+ To change the Quorum to 38%

Well it's looking like it's going to be Wednesday and Sunday as it currently stands.

Just a reminder incase people aren't reading the Main BCOOP thread, I'm trying to organise something with PokerStars to add money or Prizes to the Championship, so if anyone is intending to set-up a Stars account to play in this Championship can they please wait so we can use these new accounts as referrals to add money to the Pots.

OK, so Wednesday and Sunday are the nights we will be holding these Tournaments.

I'm just waiting to hear back from PokerStars and then I'll post up dates and the latest updates.

My initial thinking is for the First Tournament to be held on Wednesday 1st November and then to run for 5 weeks. With this proposed running order.

    Event 1: PLHE
    Event 2: Limit Omaha Hi/Lo
    Event 3: Limit Stud Hi
    Event 4: NLHE
    Event 5: PLO
    Event 6: Limit Stud H/L
Event 7: HORSE - on Full Tilt
    Event 8: NLHE HU matches
    Event 9: LHE
    Main Event : NLHE

If we're going to play Razz on FT then we need a HORSE game too!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,537 ✭✭✭Ste05

    Sunday & Monday
Ye forgot, it's HORSE not RAZZ, we can do without RAZZ, 10 events is enough IMO. unless people really want a RAZZ tournament too and assuming Bohsman can arrange them..

Is it a good idea to make people have accounts and money on 2 sites, Stars and FT?
    Good work anyway Ste!

    Sunday/Monday for me.

Well, I'd happily do without HORSE altogether, but people wanted it and since Stars can't do it, it was suggested we host it on FT, so it was just majority rules, it might not get as big a turn out as the Stars tournaments.

Although, now that I've thought about it properly, I might scrap it unless people have a strong want for it being in there. I hadn't really thought about it until now, but there are a few problems with having it on another site:
    (1) Different Screennames will make it harder to track each player for the leader board.
    (2) Casual players and lurkers may be put off at the thought of having to play on different sites, they may not have Neteller, etc. accounts to move funds easily around.
    (3) Do FT have a minimum deposit and withdrawal amount, or do they have a funds transfer system, I don't really play there that much so don't know the ins and outs of it, anyone care to shed some light on it, how are the cashout times, I don't think anyone wants to have to deposit money into it then wait for a few days for their money to clear back out.

The more I actually think about it, the more inclined I am to just do without HORSE TBH, does anyone really want HORSE? There's no need for a poll or anything, but if enough people want it, then I think we should leave it in, but I'm certainly leaning on the get rid of it fence at the minute.

I'm not playing in the BCOOP so I don't care.
If FT do have a funds transfer system then it should be easy enough to get money in there. People create their account, get someone who has funds in there to transfer money to their FT account after they have given the same sum to that person in Stars to pay for it. A bit of a roundabout way but workable I am sure. I am a donkey at horse, complete and utter so I don't mind if it is taken out, but it would be good fun to leave in.

I don't mind if it's in or out as it's nothing to me to organise it, and it's only a slight pain with the screennames, but I can get over that.

The main thing is probably the money end of it, and I was kind of in the same mind as 5Star with this, if there was a fund transfer system like Stars (i.e. no minimum like the Party $50 min.) then alot of the hassle should be avoidable, once there are enough dual FT and Stars players who are ameniable to being the banker, but as I say, I don't play much on FT so don't know what the situation is.

I've no problem acting as a bank providing people send me the money on stars.

I'll look inot it later tonight to see what's possible wrt player transfers on FT and post back.

I'd like to see a HORSE tournament if nothing else but to laugh at all the holdem only players :D

Transfers are possible and don't look like they'll be a problem.

Is there a minimum amount, e.g. Party only allow $50 minimum transfers??

I had a handy parser for the last competition whuch parsed the PS results file. and kept a table of scores going. It would be difficult to adapt for use with FT (the current code assumes the same nicknames for example) but not impossible. Then again we could do without my code and use basic man power.

Transfers are a problem as far as I remember. I think you need to have an active account for a certain number of months before you can transfer funds. Can't remember the ins and outs but I was unable to do a fund transfer on there before. I'll look for the email I got about it now.

    EDIT:
This is an automated message sent from Full Tilt Poker.

      Your Player ID: cardshark202
      Date and Time: 2006-06-01 18:52:20
      Transfer Number: ********
      Payment Method: Transfer
      Amount: $100.00

      Status: DECLINED

Your transfer request has been declined because one or both of the
players involved do not meet the minimum player-to-player transfer
    requirements.

The sender must meet the following requirements:

      * Request must be a minimum of $5.00
      * NETeller users must have successful deposit history.
      * FirePay users must have at least 60 days of successful
        deposit history.
      * Credit card and ePassporte users must have at least
90 days of successful deposit history.

The receiver of the transfer must meet this requirement:

      * Completed account registration with the mailing address
        completely filled out.

If you plan to make more money transfer requests in the future,
you may want to open a NETeller account. Because of their deposit
policies, we can accept a transfer almost instantly.

RE-EDIT: Seems I was able to make a different fund transfer just a few days later so it seems its ok once the sender has an active account for more than 90 days

    Minimum amount is 5$.

My reading of what was on the transfer thing was what you said Cardshark. If the sender is ok then it should be ok.

I would think most of the players have Neteller accounts (and money in it) so this is a non-issue for them. The few it might affect we can get the money sorted a few days in advance so that we can sort any problems in time.

In fairness it's only 10$ so I can't see it being held up for money laundering reasons :)
