PPP and underbuys

Why do PPP allow such huge underbuys into the games? I can only assume it's because it encourages gambling in the true sense.... and also increases the chances of people having a pop with limited resources.
I know it works on me :D

But allowing people to buy in for 80 to a 3/6 game is a bit silly.
5/10 and 10/20 are pretty reasonable, with the range between 500/750 and 1k/1.5k respectively.

Then you come to the 20/40 game. What in gods name is going on there? They've changed all the rules.... the min buy in is ridiculously low, and the max buy in is too high to be honest. Wouldn't 2k/4k make perfect sense?
Why can you buy into the 20/40 game for less than you can buy into the 10/20 game?

I played in it last night, pure gamble I know... but fun. Play like a complete rock... if I get unlucky then so be it. What surprised me was that there was still enough people there not noticing that I got paid off when I had a hand.

But I was far from the only one doing this... majority of players I see on it are underbuying into the game on a gamble. If PPP restricted the buy ins a bit more it may make for a better game (all be it one I wouldn't be playing in  )
There seems to only be about 4/5 players there that would be solid winners at that level, so perhaps they need to have a low buy in... but 400 is lunacy.

the under buys on Tribeca are a disgrace
Playing 1-2 and 2-4 where some guy is buying in for 10 or 20 bucks and going in every 2nd hand annoys the sh1t out of me
Ruins what could be a good game
Fair enough if some guys want to start up a table with 10 bucks each but sitting down on a table where smallest stack is 300 bucks with 10 just ruins the game

ya, it makes it more difficult to keep a game going too.
I see where they're coming from on the lower stakes (don't agree with it - but understand). But since they modify and improve on the higher stakes of 5/10 and 10/20, I can't figure out why the reversal on the 20/40 game... just doesnt make sense to me.
