ATM question

Quick question...Im going to the States next month for 2 weeks, can I use my AIB Banklink card at ATMs???

Has it got the Cirrus logo on the back?

It doesnt Ruu no...it has a PLUS logo written in dark blue on the back of the card. I couldnt find a pic on the web, maybe other AIB boardsters know the logo Im talking about? Is Cirrus worldwide Ruu???

Like the above? That should be fine too, the ATM beside me and the others in town have Plus logos on them (I'm in the US right now). Remember you will be charged everytime you take out some money (cross country or cross bank, whatever they call it),so use it wisely. Cirrus is nearly everywhere these days.

yeah you should be grand...my aib card doesnt have the cirrus but it worked ! try and pay for stuff by credit card if you can, some of them ATM's can charge you from $.50 to $3.00 to take out your own money!!!

If it's got PLUS it will work in any ATM that accepts VISA also, so if you see a VISA symbol on the ATM, you should be fine too.

I'm just back from America and my AIB cards worked in every single bank's ATM, whether it had a plus logo or a cirrus logo or not! They will even work in those random ATMs that you find in newsagents!
