Problem playing songs on myspace....

    Hey, just a small problem, would be great if someone could help me out...Just got a new laptop and only downloadable songs from the myspace website will play on it..for any songs not available for download it just says 'connecting' and wont play..anyone know the reason for this..?

    If this is over the same network that was blocking your P2P apps, its likely the same issue here. Admins are blocking it.

    If you have any further problems with things not connecting on that network I suggest you take it up with the networks administrators.

    Cool, sorry if it seems like i'm wasting your time, just really odd that the downloadable ones play but the others don't...

    No, you're not :)

    Since its a college site, they obviously want to keep college resources available for college-based use. Now while blocking streaming audio from Flash is new to me, its long been a policy with other forms of streaming media in many colleges (or so I have heard, certainly in the one I am in) so it looks like they have caught up.
