I fold. you have 3 hearts in your hand, someone is bound to either have the nut hearts or else blockers to the flush, and you have no othewr draws to the top high hand. Allied to this that there is a good chance that there will be no low hand, and you have no ace, then I think this is a clear fold.

Fold preflop and then fold the flop if you didnt.
Your hand is pretty bad and you are in bad position.
You are also playing fairly low stakes, so you cant ever expect to bluff anybody .... especially in PLO8 where nobody folds a low "draw" let alone a made hand.

Just make the nuts and bet/raise the pot.

That hand is a bag of crud. Fold it preflop. Playing that hand on the button is very marginal, I would more than likely fold it, let alone from UTG+1. Fold the flop.

With this many callers you have a good chance of already drawing dead so fold would be good

    Fold preflop and fold now.

Would Kh 2h 3d 4h be considered a much better hand? I would nearly always raise on the button with that if there were less than 3 limpers. Is this terrible play?

Regards the hand, I folded. No interesting cards came and the EP raiser took down with 2 pair and we didnt see the other players cards.

I figured I was quite likly drawing dead to an A high flush, and didn't want to face a pot raise on a heart turn. I think I would have called if nobody had money left though. $7 to win $30+ not to be sniffed at.

You will never beat these stakes of PLO8 consistently unless you tighten up your preflop range. That hand is garbage. :) Fold preflop. Postflop its an even easier fold.

That hand is better but not by much. If raising will get rid of the limpers then its ok I guess, but most players who limp in SS O8 rarely to never fold to a raise.

    Humm, I need a PLO8 101!
I would raise with that hoping to play a bigger pot heads up in pos with, what I thought until now, wastn't a muck hand.

It seems to have good low and str8 possibilities and a 2nd nut flush, which can't be bad in a heads up/3plr hand..?

What range you raise in LP with presuming you're going to be playing the flop with 1 or 2 opponants?

edit: I have found that players often do limp fold, especially if there has been a limper of 2 after them and then a raise, as the raise is bigger and they have to wory more about a reraise from the other limpers.

the problem is you are going into a pot oop against hands that in all likely hood completely dominate you. and even if you do flop flush and get action you could easily be getting your money in at a 6-1 dog to 25% of the pot

This is not good fold it pre or if you want limp then limp but dont call raises and hit flop very hard before getting any further involved

Yep yep, but now I'm asking about playing that sort of hand in position vs 1 or 2 players.

    cheers ian
