i have the free version of avira anti virus but im strongly considering udgrading to the personal edition which costs €20. however i have spybot s&D & adaware as well and have not had a virus in a long time, so im looking for advice on whether i should spend the money on the personal edition thanks, gar

Spybot and adaware won't prevent any viruses, it will keep away the spyware/malware though.
If you don't have any viruses yet, then go by if it's not broken then don't fix it. Save your money and stick with the free edition imo, it does the trick.

I thing the free avg antivirus is the best you can get ,look at www.grisoft.com, update it weekly,or use auto update.Its free ,personal edition ,you,ll need a firewall too.Theres plenty of free ones,like Zonealarm.
