    Record it to cd.
Then record the cd to mp3.

There is not supposed to be a (consumer) way of getting around the aac encryption on the songs.

Right click the song and click convert selection to MP3, then just find the file on your pc and drag and drop onto your mp3 player.

hey, i tried the click of the right side of the mouse and was not given an option of changing the format,
tried to burn it on to cd and am getting a message "the song i bought is an ituen store file and can not be burned on to mp3 cd"
does this mean that i can not use it outside the itunes menue ???????
if the answer to this is yes it will be the only one i buy from them !!!
    thanks

Don't burn it as an MP3 CD. Burn it as an audio CD. Then once done. Rip it back onto your computer in MP3 format.

itunes even provides the provision for burning disc's

and when you put the disc in that whas just burnt it automatically tries to rip it back

just make sure your rip settings are mp3, not AAC/M4P
