Email problem

    Hi. I've set up the email client that comes with a mac so it recieves from my gmail account, but for some reason I can't get it to send messages. I get the following when ever I try to send a message:
    Cannot send message using the server smtp.gmail.com
    Use the pop-up menu below to try a different outgoing mail server. All messages will use this server until you quit mail or change your network setttings.
    The pop up menu just shows the smtp.gmail.com server. I'm using an iBook G4 10.4.8. I'm sure it's probably something really stupid, but I just can't figure out what it is :confused: If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

    Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS: smtp.googlemail.com (use authentication)
    Use Authentication: Yes
    Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
    Port: 465 or 587
    Account Name: your Google Mail username (including '@googlemail.com')
    Email Address: your full Google Mail email address (username@googlemail.com)
    Password: your Google Mail password

    Have you tried the above?
