Sunny holiday in late January!

Was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to go for a warm, crazy holiday for the last week in January for 2/3 people. Was looking into Goa in India but it's so hard to get to and the flights are too expensive!

Hi. Myself and the boyf head away every January as it is the only time suitable for us both as I'm semeserised exam wise. We went to Gran canaria in 2005 and Lanzarote last Jan. We were really lucky with the weather in Gran Canaria and even though it's a complete dive (particularly all Irish areas beginning with Green) it was enjoyable due to good beach weather and decent food with some decent nightlife if you knew the right spots. Lanzarote was a different story it rained 5 out of the seven days and was we felt like we were in a scene from that film 'Cocoon' with old people everywhere. We honestly got looks in the street cause we were the only people under 65 there on holidays. Don't get me wrong it's a beautiful Island but without the weather you have got zilch. So if i was you I'd spend a few more quid and head to Mexico as one college mate of mine did and had a blast. It's a great time to head away as breaks up the crap Irish winter. Good luck!
