    Hi all!

Looking for recommendations for three good spec PC's. These boxes will be used by shiftworkers, 24 hours per day. Dual monitors. HP or Dell preferred but open to other manufacturers available in Ireland.

    Thanks!

you can spec them up yourself, so you have full controll of what you get, plus IT wont come with copious ammount of bloatware and software you will never use. You also get a 2 year warrenty as standard with these, for free.

Thanks for that but I prefer to go with one of the main players.

    Hi There,

I would go with a Dell Machine as a recommendation first off, I have worked with both kinds of machines and the Dell is much better build plus the main thing is if you buy an Optiplex machine and upgrade the serivice aggreement, you will get the PC fixed ASAP if anything fails, HP you will spend a lot and i mean a lot of time on the Phone trying to explain the problem firstly then just the seer hassel of waiting, Ill get around to posting a spec, Have you any other details on what the system will be used for?

Thanks for the reply. One display will be used for a call logging application, the other one will get four camera feeds (not sure about the application yet).

Unless you pay for a better warranty, then you get to some scottish fella (can be nearly as hard to understand as the indian)
