Nose bridge Glasses

    Hey there,
I remember a couple of years ago I once saw a kit for sale that basically was a special piece of jewellery for a bridge piercing with magnets which would then clip onto 2 seperate pieces which were frames for lens of a pair of glasses. So you no longer have the need for arms on your glasses to go over your ears.

Now I thought this was a rather spiffing as I have slight tracks on the side of my head from glasses and when metal frames get a little bit older, they can corrode (especially if you do a physically demanding job like me and you sweat a lot).

Was just wondering what you folks think of the idea? I wasn't too gone on the idea of that amount of weight being held up by a piercing like that. Actually, as I've been typing this, I've been wiki'ing for details and found a designer's website.

It's definitely something I'd love once (if) it becomes a finalised product.

    Thoughts?

Seen them before as a temporary thing i'd say they'd be ok but not for day to day wear they just wouldn't last.

There's a couple of entries on modblog about them.

Seen some before that worked off two eyebrow piercings, hooking onto the ends. LIke is said above, cool for show but not very practical

Unless they are made of very very light material I cant see them being a day to day kind of use. You are putting unnecessary pressure on the piercing and if anything was to catch on them, you rip your piercing out and itd be a waste of money spent on a pair of glasses!

    Contacts?

Contacts are stress (and this woudn't be?). I'm not really that bothered about wearing glasses, the nerd in me demands it as part of the uniform :) I just think this is cool :)
