Child Pornography

Will keep this short. I have a friend, let's call him X. I know that he's recently been meeting women and girls off the net. Generally, he doesn't tend to advertise it so other than a few times that he's made mention of it, I have no idea to what extent he's doing this. However, while I was at his house and messing about on his computer, I came accross a website of his where he had images of women and girls hosted on it in different stages of nudity that were taken on his camera. What was worrying though, is that some of these girls were clearly under 18, some might possibly be under 16. I have no way of knowing this though. What I know that he's taken these pictures and I can guess that none of the girls on his site consented to their images being put up there.

What can I do about this? What is the legal situation if I call the police? Obviously if the friend is taking pictures of children then he needs to be punished, but if what he's doing is completely legal, then I can't take the risk and ruin his life by telling everyone he's a pedophile.

    What can I do? Help.
