I know there is a simple answer to this but it's been wrecking my brain all day. I have a Dell 640M with a Ricoh 5in1 card reader and I'm running Vista Beta 1. The SD host is installed but I can't get it to show in Explorer. Anyone got any ideas?

It may be trying to use an already assigned drive letter, right click on My Computer, click on Manage then Disk Management. If you can see it there right click on it choose change drive letter and choose a free drive letter

Nope, it was working before under the Dell standard install. It's bloody annoying.

Hmm each slot should apprear as its own drive in windows. Should be able to map to it in the same way as you would map to a hard drive or cd drive. Sounds like a driver issue, prob with the device itself or possibly an issue with thee usb bus on the machine. I presume other USB devices work correctly etc.

Drivers were reinstalled from the Dell site.
The device was working before I formatted to get rid of the Dell crap
    USB stuff works fine.

There's probably some stupid driver hidden on the Dell site that I can't find

Yeah dell can be a nuisance when it comes to that crap.
