Splinter Cell DA Region Free

Confirmed by quite a few people to be region free. Well worth waiting the couple of weeks extra to pick it up for €32 from Play Asia

And yes even though it is not verified on the site as of yet, they normally don't do it until a day or 2 before they get the game. Order now to avoid missing out when people snap it up.

so exactly how confident is everyone that splinter cell will be region free from the off on friday?might pre order a copy but dont wanna get stung with a region coded game

The PAL version is region free. Its safe to assume the others will be also.

Ordered off play asia too. My first time buying from them. Worth it at those prices.

I downloaded it to play in the interim. Have to say, it looks absolutely stunning so far. First 360 title with the wow factor for me.

first I heard about these region free games was only a few weeks back. I have a sharp lcd, apparently though, it only shows 50hz signals. Just wondering what rate the region free games play at, 50 or 60hz?

Are you sure it only shows 50hz. That would be very unusual in an LCD panel these days, hell its rare in any tv less than 5 years old..

Can you play PAL versions of dead rising, oblvion ? Those games are 60hz only as are a lot of Pal releases these days. If you can play them you should be fine,,

NTSC games are pure 60hz period.

i thought it was weird that it only says 50hz too. i have an old panasonic 21" tv that's about 10 years old and that plays ntsc and pal games.

i thought all pal games were 50hz?! i've downloaded a couple of demos off XBL before (hitman and topspin) and errors came up that i need to change my xbox360 to 60hz on the dashboard. i followed the instructions but there was no option to change it. sorry, but it's all a bit confusing to me!
