I didn't think TomTom used Navteq maps at all - do you have a link to one of the locations selling TomTom Europe software?

The TomTom GB/Ireland coverage of Ireland (with TeleAtlas) is pretty poor - at least in comparison with Navteq. Go to http://maps.google.co.uk - they use TeleAtlas maps and look at (for example) southwest Donegal for coverage. The 'R' roads aren't even listed! Compare then with http://www.ie.map24.com/ (which uses Navteq) and type in (say) Killybegs.

If you're using it mostly for the UK, TomTom is fine, otherwise, I'd say stay clear from it unless the TomTom Europe really does use Navteq maps for Ireland.
