I have replaced my 10yr old grundig sky box for a 2nd hand pace box,I can get all the channels except the movie ones.It says on the tv this is not the right card for the channel please ring 18******* Now I have 3 digi boxes altogether
sky+ and multiroom,I pay almost 100 euro p.m. to sky and have been with them
for 10yrs. I rang them and asked if they would replace the box free of charge
been a good customer and all:D the answer was NO.I said I would discontinue with their service and they said fine:eek:is there any way I can sort out the problem myself?? If I ring sky they will know I have a different box and refuse to help me.Any advice please?
    Thanks

    Yes

No, they'll just replace the deails of your old box with those of your new box, send an update signal and you should have the channels that are married to both card and box within a few hours.

ok 45 mins to get through, but its updating the software as I type which will take 10mins then another 5mins after that.
Again thanks for that. I felt like a criminal ringing as it wasnt a box I purchased
from them and thought there was no hope of them letting me use it.:;)

They lose money on selling & Installing boxes. They PREFER self installed customers that have sourced their own box! More profit. Hence no phone line connection requirement.
