Hosting365 - registered a domain

Just wondering if anyone knows how long this takes to work through the net so i can ping the address. I tried using their own DNS servers to see if it'd work there, but even using ns1.hosting365.ie i can't ping the site.

Do i just have to keep waiting, or is there something else i need to do?

EDIT: I registered over 24 hours ago, so i would've expected it to at least be on their own DNS by now.

    It depends on the TLD.
The IE zone is refreshed twice daily, I'm not sure about others.

Usually I would give it 48 hours to propogate.

Yeah 48 hours is what id usualy wait.

If its not sorted by then, give hosting365 a bell.

Registering a domain does nothing really. You have to get a hosting package, then upload your website, after which you can ping to your heart's content.
They may put a dummy-webpage up, saying your website is 'parked' there, but that will be about all.

Not required for a ping response

Something more than registering a domain is required for a ping response.

.com zones are updated frequently throughout the day. Does whois show up your entry yet?
