Hi,

Recently purchased a HP pavilion computer and seem to have a problem with the sound. Basically when playing cds, mp3's or online video the sound is very hollow e.g like as if the person singing or speaking is yards away from the mike, nearest definition like a "echo type effect"

Purchased new speakers because I thought it may be the old ones, but still have the problem

Probably made no sense whatsoever, but any steer on the issue would be gratefully accepted.

Is there any software associated with the soundcard installed? It could be set to one of those preset profiles for the soundcard, hall or auditorium, etc.
