Just looking on the irish government site for bb providers and saw one mentioned called permanet,
    http://www.permanet.ie/

Has anyone heard anything about this provider? according to their website they are based in cork, and looking at their coverage they seem to have better coverage than the likes of digiwebs metro(waterford area)

Quite a few threads on them if you look around.....
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/searchbt.php?search=permanet

This thread is probably best suited to the Broadband forum, by the way....

My brother got permanet installed today in North Wexford.
He only ordered it on friday!!

And its working fine 1.5 down and 512 up.
On Irish isp test the download was 1.4 ish and the up load was 484

Only day one but delighted so far

    Any questions,just ask!

I'm well impressed with the quick install though.
He's going to see how blueface works and if thats fairly ok, he's ditch eircom completely.

No more line rental ha ha!
