    Hi,

My name is julie, I am 18 years old and I am a drummer.
    I'm looking for a singer/songwriter, a guitarist and a bassist to form a
    band.
    (compositions, gigs...)

    My references are: U2!!
Joy Divison, Coldplay,The Killers, The Director, Snow Patrol, The Artic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, The Tides, Bruce Sprinsteen, the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Clash,
Bob Dylan, Daniel Lanois, Johnny Cash, Brian Eno, The
    Waterboys,...etc

In fact, I'm French and I'm leaving in Dublin to learn English and I'm going to stay here the whole year, maybe more.
Unfortunately I don't have my own drums kit here in dublin with me, but I hope to fix it quickly.

Please contact me if you share these same influences and want like me to
    form a band.

    ;-)
    Julie

The bass player in the band is actually French too. Also, a rehersal space is booked so they'll have a drum kit there.

    Hi,
My first question to you is this? Are you a skilled and creative drummer? I dont want someone who drums by numbers, like filling out a painting by putting in colours from 1 to 20. I`ve met too many drummers like that.

I believe in rhythm and voice, with tasty guitar riffs spiralling overhead and acting as hooks in the song. But anyway, that`s all very fanciful, and maybe difficult to understand for you. You`re over here learning English and if I was to translate this reply into French, I`d be clueless!

Anyway I like the bands that you listed and I`d like to help you form a band where you can best express your drumming or sense of rhythm. Whoever is teaching you English must be very good because you sound almost fluent to me. Dont worry about the drumkit because they`re supplied in all rehearsal rooms.

I`m putting together a band at the moment in the 18-20 age group and we`re looking for a creative drummer. Technique counts less than imagination but if you have both - then great! I like the fact that you`ll add some Gallic charm to the mix, like an exotic French ingredient in an Irish stew!:)
