How do you rename this folder. Its says it cannot be renamed because windows needs this folder to run properly?

But is there a way to rename it?

I don't think you can, I think creating another user account is the only way.

edit: can confirm the post below, works fine.

I think you can only rename it by changing your username in control panel.
Control Panel-->Users-->select your account-->change account name.
I never tried it but I'd say it's the only way it could be done.

heres is the only way to to rename it...

    1)back up everything
2)create a new account (admin1 for this guide)
    3)log-off
    4)login to the admin1 account
    5)delete your normal account
6)delete the folder you want to rename in documents and settings
7)create a new account with the name you want the folder to be
    8)logoff admin account
9)login with your new account name from step 7
10)delete the admin1 account you made in step 2
    11) delete the admin1 folder from documents and settings

    :p:p:p

reason it can't be just renamed is because "your accounts" section of the registry is saved in it, so once you enter your user name and password it will look for that folder, if its renamed it will go back to the login screen
