Just wondering if anyone has them - and if so, where did you buy them and what are your experiences with them?

The Mini Mag is an interesting float plane.

Patrick who works at Green Hobby & Model, Harolds Cross, Dublin is or was making himself a brushless hydro type flying boat.
I don't know if he flew it or if it is finished yet.
It's the Graupner one, and there is a video on the website (not his particular one).

Essentially a hydrofoam is a very sensitive aerobatic plane, from the controls point of view.
If you are learning to fly you would break it before learning to control it.
If you already can fly they are brilliant !

There is a Carson version available which can have trainer wings added temporarily for getting the hang of it, then remove them and fly it hot.

I just happened to speak to Patrick about that one maybe a week ago - he said that unless he gets interest from customers he would not stock it on the shelves, but just get individual ones on special request. Mainly because he already has the Graupner ones on the shelves and he reckons two types would be overdoing it.

EDIT LATER: Hmm I see that video is removed .... try here for it: http://www.graupner.de/fileadmin/images/hydroplane/HydroPlane_A.wmv
