Are horses still rendered into glue these days? Are there any knackers still in Ireland?

Slightly doubt it, esp as glue can now be cheaply gained from a shop.

Dublin City Council or DSPCA will be able to help you.

Just don't go burying dead horses in your back garden, that will piss the authorities off.

    Licensed Knackeries

Knackeries (45 approx. in Republic of Ireland) charge for this service and collection cost can range from €35 to €65 depending on farm location.

Glue from horses. Puh-lease. Next you'll be saying paper from trees. Everyone knows glue is made from the elves working for Santa that have lost a limb.

    Excellent. Thanks Wishbone.

Now for tinkers. Are there any tin-smiths still around?

This thread acts as good satire. Popped in expecting the daily scumbag rant. This gets a thumbs up.

Yeah, you're right. They have to, for documentation and post-mortem purposes. Sometimes you get the joyful job of taking smaller animals to the lab.

You kinda missed the point there, Ted. If that's your best effort: do not post here again.

Pighead was in Liverpool last year and he got talking to one of the local lads about scumbags and the different names they have. Anyway after a while I asked him
"What do you call your knackers?"

Suddenly he just stares at me and shifts around edgily in his seat, before shaking his head in disgust, walking off and calling me "a fcuking perv".

Found out later that knackers means testicles in Liverpool. You live and learn.

How about mods? Any followers of early 1960's London 'modernist' subculture still about?

This thread would be slightly less crap if you'd said 'unto' instead of 'into' in your first post. Just 'cause.

Actually, I think he was joking and saying it be funnier if I'd made the mistake that "render unto" would mean.

Rendering a horse into glue means turning it into glue. Rendering a horse unto glue means finding a big lump of glue and surrendering a horse to it on the grounds that the glue has a legitimate claim to that horse (whether as a tax, a payment, or otherwise)

Its the Towelheads that annoy me. I for one, dry my hair immediately and leave the towel in the bathroom rather than walking around wearing it.

i saw one on Saturday outside the local chip shop -- he wasnt turning horses into glue , maybe he was unemployed, but he had great clobber on -- celtic top, fake gold jewlelery , shell suit , dodgy haircut , bottle of coke and a smokin a John Players blue

It is the same in austrilia. Hence the phrase as useful as a kangeroo's knackers.

I think most of the knackers in Ireland are probably sluts.

I think most of the knackers in Ireland are probably sluts.

    Could we say Minesabigdirtywomen
    WordNet - Cite This Source

    slut

n 1: a dirty untidy woman [syn: slattern, slovenly woman, trollop] 2: a woman adulterer [syn: adulteress, fornicatress, hussy, jade, loose woman, strumpet, trollop]
    WordNet ® 2.0, © 2003 Princeton University

Are all dirty women sluts, I think its a bit unfair if they forget to wash that they are called this

That's a rather incomplete definition, but then WordNet was never intended to be used as a dictionary.

You know those people who are allways swanning off to exotic locations, backpacking in uncharted regions and collection various forms of tribal art.It really bugs me when they keep swinging the conversation round to "the time i was in such and such a place.." if you say "oh,i've been there",they say "ah,but you need to live there for a few months to get to know the place properly!

Sounds like someone needs to broaden their horizons. For example, when I was in Outer Mongolia...
