Matchmaking festivals?

Tyring to help out a female friend of mine - she's 33, single, not into pubs/clubs, dosent have loads of confidence and not at all assertive!

She needs to meet a man (will be only her 2nd bf) cos she's getting depressed. Thought I'd try to help by suggesting a match making festival for a good laugh (and hopefully more!)

Anyone know when & where they are held? I know there's a few of them around the country every year...

    Thanks!

Lisdoonvarna - there's some famous matchmaker called "Dan Paddy Andy" apparently - it's a nickname now for anyone who introduces single friends to each other i.e. "Don't be such a Dan Paddy Andy".

Maybe this site might be worth looking at:
