I'd say anything under €10 are cheap quality. You'll buy 5 or 6 pairs of the crappy €10 earphones in the time a pair of decent quality €50 or so earphones will last.

Why spend €300 on an mp3 player and then only spend €10 on a crap pair of earphones?

well there's no point having a pair of shures if all your music is of mp3 quality <128kps.

There's no point having an mp3 at 128KBps or less in the first place unless it's an audio book or something like that.

I have all of my files at mp3 128KBps and they sound fine altough I did put my most listened to music up to 192kbps and I've only noticed a slight difference

Come on! I'll bet you couldn't tell the difference between a 128KBps and 196KBps mp3!
