How far is your home ground?

On the way into Dalymount last night heading in St Peters entrance saw some guy walk out of his house and into the ground, he was living at least 50 feet from the entrance (assuming he wasnt robbing the house :p ).

I know one guy on Emmet Road who has the same ardous task in getting to Richmond (tbh he can see the games out his bedroom window)

I have to travel about 3 miles to Richmond, one bus 78a stops outside the ground so its handy enough as traffic always going the other so takes me about 10 minutes from bus stop to turnstiles.

How far do others have to travel to get to their home grounds?

A mate of mine lived 2 on the road leading up to the "main" entrance of Hibury. He went as much as he could but becasue he wasnt a season ticket holder it was hard to get tickets to every game.

I'm about 8 miles from St Paints

    Nice thread.

As the crow flies, I'm 6.79 miles from Tolka, 5.94 miles from Dalymount and 4.97 from Richmond. Very weird because Tolka is definitely the quickest for me to get to (via public transport anyway), then Dalyer, then Richmond.

    Also, I'm 7.07 miles from Santry :D

    273 miles from St. Marys.

About 5 miles to Highbury. Unless I'm in Nepal of course.

If I'm going from work to Tolka I'm about a mile away.

From home I'm about a twenty minute drive.

I'll be able to walk from home to Santry.

Nine or 10 miles to Dalymount from current abode -- takes 40 mins in the car. Pressure from younger family members to move to Connaught St has subsided this season :( (though I hear this is a good time to buy in Harristown).
    Two miles from the job.

About 20 to Tolka since I ended up in the sticks. Prior to that it was about 3 or 4.

When in Cork I was about 5 miles which was about a 15 mins drive under the Jack Lynch tunnel and out to the Cross.

Usually had a car full going. Parking is a bollix if you don't know the inside information.:D

If I was going to match in Dublin its usually Pats which is about a mile away.

about ten minutes walk to the cross. or if im super lazy some sort of taxi... interesting to note that its mainly eircom league fans posting in this thread, with the exception of those living in engerland. and kensutz.

But at least I go to both if and when possible. I used to do all home & away with the parents but they both got tired of all the travelling around Ireland so we stuck to the home games where myself and my dad steward at it.

I think the thread question may have confused one or two of the non-local footy supporters here?

Up til now they had always assumed the answer was 10 to 15 feet.

just about 10 minute walk to the showgrounds from my house.

Nowadays, about 15 miles to Tolka.

Santry will be further away if we end up there, but it won't change the fact that I'll still get to nearly every home game every season. :)

Closest ground is 35 mins in a car+ 3 min walk and that's to Hogan Park , but im not a Limerick supporter so it's not my home ground .

7-8 miles to Tolka Park (I think)

About ten minutes walk to Tallaght Stadium - if only those greedy, bigotted GAA **** would stop trying to halt it's completion.
