A friend needs to prove he sent and email.

He sent it in outlook but wants to print off a page from the MDaemon software to show the email left the system.

He had to have something out by 5 yesterday. The person he was meant to have sent said they never recieved it.

He works for a small company and have not IT person & dont want to pay some to come out and do it for them if its something simple.

What abou the receipts option in Outlook, it notifies you when the email has been read and I think you can print that out. Any use?

That only happens if you tick a box which I dont think he has.

He just wants to be able to show that the email left his system so he can fax a page to his boss to show that it was sent.

It was a large file and it could be that it wasnt recieved by 5 but as long as it was sent he's in the clear.

Ask the Email Admin to grab it from the SMTP outbound log on the MDaemon server?

    The Default location is d:\mDaemon\logs

The log you are looking for depends on how the system was set up.

It may have an individual log for each protocal and for each day so you might be looking for MDaemon-SMTO-(out).log for the date in question.

Or it could be in MDaemon-all.log for that day.

Standard proceedure is to archive the logs every 7 days so you may have to look in the archive folder,

    Hope it helps.
