    Hi,

    1) Ive bought spy poker and found it good, but ive seen this website where the software is actually alot better. It puts the stats over the players and also shows mucked hands at showdown at the table and shows your current odds with the hand you have and the odds of increasing it on the turn. Its here http://www.pokeroffice.com/index.html

As i said pokerspy is good, especially where you can see at a glance what type of cards people have been raising and calling raises with but the pot odds calculator isnt great and this one has more functionality and perks. Before i but can anyone suggest a better one, ive done a bit of googling and this is the best ive come up with

    2) Ive also seen poker edge, its supposed to something similar to poker office with the stats over players etc but to be honest it dosent look great, however as has been said here before, table selection is very important and it seems to have a class little tool where you can look at a table and see which players are fish and which are tight, excellent in picking the right seat and right table. Unfortunately pokerspy and poker office only offer stats as you build them but this holds the info in a database so i can get a good feel for what the player is like before i sit down.

My only worry is that its $20 per month and i rather pay a single fee, is there any similar softwares out there for a better price??

Also just to note i wont be paying for any of these, i plan to sign up to Titan and Mansion which will give me a free license for poker office and free license for poker edge for 3 months plus a 100% bonus for each when i deposit $50+

btw would you recommend Titan with a 100% bonus or pokerroom.com with a 40% bonus. Which is the better offer, are titan a small company and thats why theyre offering a better bonus????

But i dont think poker tracker has a database of players where i can check their stats instantly before sitting down. It woould take a long time before poker tracker could build up an extensive database of players to the same extent as poker edge seems to.

Poker edge has a free 3 day trial so ill give that a blast but keep the feedback coming in the mean time.

I always taught poker tracker gets the player stats as you play. I didnt realise that it comes with player stats already. Does it have an extensive list of players stats and what about paddypower, does it cover cash games for paddypower??

Pokertracker builds the DB as you go but you can use data mining software to build the DB when your not playing and it does work on PPP. I had a look at Pokeredge's website. It couldn't find any of the usernames I submited in its stats finder.

If you play on Tribeca, I can sell you datamined hands for $12/100k hands if you want to have a base to get started on. I have .50/1, 1/2, 2/4 NLH.

Slightly off topic, anyone know does pokerspy/pokeredge import hands like PT does, could Gold Mine be used with them like PT?

Thanks for the help. Poker Edge's software dosent seem very good. I donwloaded the free trial and couldnt get it to pick up any tables, i tried lots of player searches too and it just picked up a couple of them. I tried my own username and it only picked up 12 hands when i have 1000+ but it claims it has farms of computers collecting data 24hours a day and updating the database every 5 mins......Dont think so

flibble.. how much hands do you have on 2/4? I would be interested in building up my stats for this level.

I've dl'd pokertracker ( trial version) and I'm intrigued. I would like to get a licence fro it but i'm not willing to pay for it. Did I read somewhere sometime back that you can get a free licence when you sign up to particular poker rooms ??? I'vew googled but no results yet. Was it something to do with bonuswhores?

Registered with pokerpromotions.net and made an account with bodog. Only had to play 100 raked hands to qualify for the pokertracker licence code. Did it in about 2 hours and made a few bob. Applied for the code and am still waiting for it. Hopefully it'll arrive sometime next week. In the mean time I'll continue to take money off those unsuspecting players at bodog (they're not that good on the .50 / 1 levels).
