I've been getting lotsa strange things happening with my machine recently(See sig for specs). Problems Such as:

    - That wierd thing where everything freezes and a high pitched noise comes from my speakers resulting in me having to restart via a hard reboot
    - Youtube videos stopping randomly and Windows Media Files not playing with an error message saying the file is corrupt(I know they arent)
    - Today I got a bsod for the first time since a Corsair stick of RAM went belly up on me two years ago.
    - Also when looking at pics on the net recently I'm getting a lot of this happening

At this stage i'm thinking graphics card but it also could well be Ram or maybe even soundcard. Havent put in any new hardware in a while so its nothing new anyway. Gonna run memtest overnight and see what happens but can't help thinking before I even bought the 7900GT I heard stories that they were dodgey at best.

Any ideas of similar problems seen like this?

Sounds a bit funky alright. Should have a spare PCI-e graphics card if you want to check if it is your card.

Actually, just looking at your RAM speed. Is it supported by your motherboard? (I can never remember what the story is with RAM). A mate of mine was having some similar issues and it turned out that his mobo couldn't handle PC4000 ram.
