    Hi,

    Just got a new Core 2 Duo E6600 pc from komplett but most of my games wont work, all I am getting is an "Memory cannot be read" error message,

    So far only Half Life 2 and Quake 4 will work, Empire at war, Call of duty 2, Act of war, Battlefield 2 and Company of heroes wont work.

    I have 2gb OCZ PC5400 ram, a GeForce 7900GTX card and a Gigabyty Gs965P-DS3 mothboard with XP home and dirextx fully updated,

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Have you tested it with memtest86? Have you some old RAM you can put in or try switching them around to see if theres any difference?

    swapped memory around different slots, dvd burner took 2 hrs to burn a dvd, I swapped that with an exact model and it still was the same.

    Ran the check software that came with the PC and am getting flashing red and yellow icons next to the fan rpm boxes. Looks like this will be an RMA job. Anybody know how long a complete PC rma is with komplett?

    They still have my epox motherboard which I RMA'ed a month ago. Slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.............

    You could ask about the RMA in the Komplett forum, they have a representative there afaik. Its under Biz-Interaction.

    Is it a clean install of windows with your new stuff?


    Also i would go with the mobo being dodgy, update bios? get latest mobo drivers ?
